Each abstract submission requires acceptance of the following Terms & Conditions

• Permission to publish. If your submission has been published previously, it is your responsibility to check the previous publisher’s copyright requirements before submitting the abstract. You must have permission from the publisher to present the published abstract and e-poster at Pathology Update.
• The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have approved the content and submission.
• All abstracts will undergo a peer-review process conducted by the Pathology Update Overseeing Committee and/or the Scientific Sub Committees.
• Acceptance of an abstract does not imply automatic inclusion in the final program; final scheduling is at the discretion of the RCPA, the Pathology Update Overseeing Committee and/or the Scientific Sub Committees.
• Abstracts are accepted on the condition that the submitting author or a co-author will attend Pathology Update 2027 and deliver their presentation or submit an e-poster, depending on the accepted category.
• Abstract/s must be accompanied by full registration of the submitting/presenting author. Author registration must be received by the early bird cut-off date. One full paid registration is required to accompany each abstract. Abstracts without a paid registration will be withdrawn. A co-author can register on behalf of the submitting author.
• If you are a Trainee and selected to present as an oral presenter in all categories, you will receive complimentary registration for the day you are presenting and reduced rate registration to attend the remainder of Pathology Update 2027 (no travel and accommodation)
• Accepted abstracts will be published in the supplement to the RCPA journal Pathology.
• Authors retain copyright of their work but agree to its distribution as part of the event materials.
• Abstracts may be withdrawn by written request to the organising committee before the submission deadline.
• No changes to the abstract content or authorship will be permitted after the submission deadline.
• All participants, including abstract submitters and presenters, are expected to adhere to the event’s code of conduct and maintain professional and respectful behaviour.
• E-posters will be on display onsite at Pathology Update 2027 via e-poster kiosks.
• E-posters will be submitted and judged in advance of Pathology Update 2027.
• If you do not approve your Abstracts or presentation being available for video on demand viewing after the event, you will provide written notice to the conference organisers.
