Guidelines on submitting an abstract:
- You may submit up to four abstracts.
- Select your abstract theme and presentation type.
- Identify your abstract category (case study/case series; innovations and new initiatives in Pathology practice; original research; quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives)
- Collate the following information for ALL authors:
- First and last name
- Institution/ organisation
- City/suburb, state or province, and country
- Prepare a maximum 100-word third person biography for the presenting author.
- Ensure your submission is strictly prepared according to the abstract submission criteria
- Indicate if your abstract submission covers any areas of the CAPE requirements
- Agree to Terms and Conditions of abstract submissions
Abstract Submission Criteria
- Pathology update is presented in English and therefore abstract submissions are to be written in English.
- Maximum length: 200 words (excluding author details and references).
- Title: up to 20 words.
- Abstract body:
- Use structured headings (Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusion, References – max 3).
- Case report formats are acceptable.
- Do not include titles or author details in the abstract body.
- Do not include figures, images, or tables.
- Define abbreviations at first use.
- Ensure all patient data is sufficiently de-identified.
- Additional information
- Submit a statement of originality, outlining all individual author contributions
- Confirmation that ethics approval and patient consent, where applicable, were appropriately attained.
- Declare whether generative AI was used in the writing process of the abstract
